Peter Etherington MA, LL.M.

Peter Etherington Employment Law Services (PEELS) was established in 2007 to assist predominantly small businesses throughout the East Midlands with the ever-growing intricacies of HR and people management.  Prior to this, Pete had acquired a track record of HR management and consultancy, including working for many years at Croner Consulting. He headed up their advisory services initially, before taking on the role of Head of Litigation, managing the team responsible for handling clients’ tribunal claims.

Pete has a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from De Montfort University and a Master of Laws Degree in Employment Law from the University of Leicester.  He is uniquely placed, therefore, to approach staff management matters in a pragmatic and solutions-based way, with his advice securely backed up by his considerable legal knowledge and experience.

Clients appreciate the PEELS approach towards advice and support, as this is always based on risk analysis. Our aim is to find the best solution for the client, always clarify any risks and focus on outcomes that work in clients’ best interests.

Lindsey Tomley.

Lindsey joined PEELS in 2019 and quickly proved her worth, with an early promotion to HR Consultant.  Her background within the food manufacturing industry has proved invaluable, due to her experience of dealing with a range of HR and people issues. Prior to that she gained experience within training and recruitment.

Lindsey studied for the CIPD Advanced Award in Employment Law (Level 7) throughout 2020, achieving a distinction. She has also continued her development in-house, becoming highly proficient in most areas of HR and employment law.

Lindsey deals with day-to-day advice inquiries, as well as taking on various projects and acting as the first point of contact for queries relating to our recommended HR system, breatheHR.
